Road and transport in Naples today, August 2, 2026: closures and updates

🟢 TRAINS

The traffic interruption continues on the Cumana line in the trade Bagnoli – Torregaveta Following the earthquake of July 31st in Campi Flegrei, EAV confirmed in last night's update that the replacement bus service remains active. Circumflegrea Traffic has resumed normally. For today, August 2nd, cancellations are planned on the Cumana line: train 90519 5.20am from Fuorigrotta to Montesanto, train 9050 05:15 from Montesanto to Torregaveta and train 90454 04:54 a.m. from Fuorigrotta to Torregaveta, the latter replaced by D'Agostino buses.

On Vesuvian lines the service is regular, while on the national railway network the circulation is regular: no reports of delays or suspensions at the Naples hub and on the Line 2 after the earthquake.

🟢 BUSES AND TRAMS

Several journeys cancelled this morning on EAV bus lines: among these 903 Acerra-Naples (05: 35), 102 Fusaro-Torregaveta (05:40 and 05:45), 922 Afragola-Piscinola (05: 45), 106 Piazzale Tecchio-Monterusciello (06: 00), 912 Quarto-Pozzuoli (06: 00), 971 Grumo-Scampia (06: 00), 924 Caivano-Afragola (06: 05) e 907 Monterusciello-Pozzuoli (06:15). There are currently no critical issues reported for ANM buses and funiculars.

🟢 TRAFFIC

Sulla Naples Ring Road A56 From this evening, 10pm on 2nd August, until 6am on 6th August, the entrance ramp towards Pozzuoli will be closed Vomero junction For seismic retrofitting work. Recommended alternative routes: entrance at the junction Camaldoli towards Pozzuoli or entering Vomero towards Capodichino with a U-turn at the junction Arenella/Hospital Area.

🟢 SUBWAYS

No closures reported for Line 1 e Line 6 Naples Metro and funiculars. Regular service throughout the ANM network.

🟢 SHIP AND HYDROFOILS

Regular ferry connections to the Gulf islands: no cancellations reported today on the routes to Capri, Ischia, and Procida.

🟢 STRIKES

No local or national public transport strikes are scheduled for today, August 2nd.
