SUBWAYS

No critical issues reported for today, Tuesday 14 July, on the Naples metro lines. Line 1 , Line 6 operate on a regular schedule. The funicular service is also regular (Centrale, Chiaia, Mergellina e Montesanto).

TRAINS

Yesterday, Monday 13 July, the Circumvesuviana experienced a double setback. A failure in the safety systems caused the temporary suspension of traffic on the Vesuvian network, with subsequent restoration. At the same time, excessive heat caused abnormal overheating of the EAV data center in Porta Nolana, rendering the data processing center unusable: traffic was blocked as a precaution until 13:00 PM and the offices were evacuated. Service was restored regularly in the early afternoon, and today no disruptions were reported on EAV lines.
