Road and transport in Naples today, June 27, 2026: closures and updates

Saturday, June 27, 2026, promises to be a particularly busy day for traffic in Naples, with Napoli Pride closing numerous streets in the historic center in the afternoon, the Geolier concert at the Maradona Stadium, and the first major summer exodus. No transport strikes are scheduled for today. Here are all the updates.

SUBWAYS

No disruptions to the metro network today. ANM Lines 1 and 6 are operating normally. Please note that maintenance work will begin on Monday, June 29th , resulting in the closure of the Piscinola , Chiaiano , and Frullone stations on Line 1 until September 13th. A replacement bus service will operate approximately every 10 minutes between Piscinola and Colli Aminei.

TRAINS

Regular rail service is expected today. Please note that the IC 716 Caserta (10:37) – Napoli Centrale (11:20) service will end at Aversa . Maintenance work is planned for Naples Campi Flegrei starting tomorrow, Sunday, June 28th, with changes, route restrictions, and replacement buses for some regional and metropolitan trains.

BUSES AND TRAMS

Regular ANM bus and tram service. Please be aware of the diversions that will take place in the historic center this afternoon for Naples Pride (see Traffic section).

ROAD

The day is marked by three major events that will impact traffic:

Naples Pride 2026 — From hours 16:00, the procession will start from G. Leone Square and will reach Piazza Dante around 19:30 pm. 100 participants are expected for the thirtieth anniversary. The prohibition of vehicular transit along the entire route: G. Leone Square, Piazza San Francesco, DeNicola square, Via Concezio Muzy, Colletta Street, Corso Umberto I, piazza Bovio, Sanfelice Street, via Diaz, Matteotti square, Battisti Street, Piazza Charity, via Toledo maximum Piazza DanteThe ban is also extended to all converging roads. Traffic from Via E. Pessina will be diverted from the intersection with Count of Ruvo Street su Via Santa Maria di Costantinopoli e via Foria.

Starting at 15:00 PM, parking will be prohibited and vehicles will be removed from all streets affected by the procession. Blue lines and all other authorized parking will be suspended. Taxi parking areas will also be closed from 16:00 PM (with the exception of the Piazza G. Leone stand, which was closed at 15:00 PM). Public transport companies will modify their routes and stops in the affected areas.

Geolier Concert — Second evening of the Geolier Stadi 2026 at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium . Significant crowds are expected in the Fuorigrotta area , with possible delays on Via Lepanto , Viale Augusto , and the ring road towards the stadium.

Summer exodus — First major weekend of exodus, with yellow warnings in the morning on highways and main roads leaving the city. Traffic jams are expected on the A1 Naples-Rome , the A30 , and the Naples ring road heading south.

In Via Napoli , from 15:00 PM to 23:30 PM, traffic will be prohibited in the section between Via Privata Viscardi and the continuation due to roadworks.

STRIKES

No local public transport strike is scheduled for today in Naples. The next strike in the city will be on July 14th , with a four-hour strike (9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.) by EAV Automotive Transport Division staff.
