On Wednesday, September 30th, Line 6 will be shut down for three hours in the afternoon, 253 EAV buses will be canceled on provincial bus lines, and the A56 ring road will reopen for nighttime repairs at 23:00 PM. Calm seas: hydrofoils and ferries to the islands will remain regularly scheduled.
🟢 SUBWAYS
Line 6 will be closed from 14:10 PM to 17:10 PM for on-line inspections and testing. Last services from Mostra and Municipio will be at 14:10 PM, with services restarting at 17:10 PM; ANM has not provided replacement buses.
Line 1 runs regularly from Piscinola to Centro Direzionale , after its summer reopening on September 14th. The first exit at Montedonzelli station remains closed: access is only from Via dell'Erba.
🟢 TRAINS
Line 2 has been disrupted between Pozzuoli Solfatara and Naples Campi Flegrei since June 21st, due to CO2 levels in the Flegrea tunnel and bradyseism: the stretch is covered by replacement buses.
No new cancellation notices were published this morning on the EAV Infomobilità Ferrovia portal , while support buses on the Vesuvius Lines remain active between Volla and Baiano and Nola and Naples. The new timetable, running every 30 minutes, will begin October 17th . RFI has announced changes to the Naples-Piedimonte Matese schedule until December 12th.
🟢 BUSES AND TRAMS
EAV bus lines are running with 253 cancelled trips and another 56 unscheduled. The most affected routes are the 003 Poggiomarino-Torre Annunziata route with 39 fewer trips, the 704 urban route to Pomigliano d'Arco with 22, and the 949 and 951 Frullone-Marano routes with 14 and 12.
On the Flegrean Lines, the lifts at Piave (4:30 AM - 4:30 PM), Soccavo (4:30 PM - 11:11 PM), and Quarto Centro are out of service due to the lift being unmanned. The Montesanto funicular remains closed for its 20-year overhaul, with a shuttle bus replacing the connection.
🟢 SHIP AND HYDROFOILS
Calm seas and light winds in the Gulf of Naples : hydrofoils and ferries to Ischia , Procida , and Capri are running regularly, with no cancellations reported by Caremar, Alilauro, SNAV, and NLG. Today is the last day for some seasonal direct routes between the islands.
🟢 TRAFFIC
Phase 4 of the traffic restrictions along the seafront remain in effect for the dismantling of the sailing event, extended until October 5th : one-way traffic on Viale Anton Dohrn towards Via Caracciolo, one-way traffic on Via Francesco Caracciolo towards Piazza Vittoria, and a suspended cycle path between Piazza della Repubblica and Piazza Vittoria. In San Giovanni a Teduccio, the traffic ban on Via Bernardo Quaranta , between Corso San Giovanni and Via Comunale Taverna del Ferro, remains in effect due to sewer work; in Ponticelli, Via Angelo Camillo De Meis is being paved . There will be no extraordinary repercussions for the 83rd anniversary of the Four Days of Naples , with the main ceremonies concentrated on September 28th.
The A56 ring road will be closed from 23:00 PM today until 6:00 AM tomorrow : the Agnano/Cuma section westbound for the Solfatara West tunnel and the Arco Felice/Agnano section eastbound for the Solfatara East tunnel will be closed. The Viale Ruffo underpass towards Pozzuoli, the Arenella and Vomero-Via Cile exit junctions , and the Fuorigrotta entrance from Monte Sant'Angelo will also remain closed.
🟢 STRIKES
No bus, metro, or train strikes are scheduled today in Campania : ANM, EAV, and Trenitalia will operate according to their regular schedules. The only disruption concerns the aviation sector, with ENAV and Techno Sky staff on strike from 13:00 PM to 17:00 PM , and possible delays on flights to and from Capodichino . The guaranteed service periods remain 07:00 AM to 10:00 AM and 18:00 PM to 21:00 PM.
🟢 FROM TOMORROW
On Thursday, October 1st, the ring road will close again from 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM on Solfatara Est, Solfatara Ovest, and the Viale Ruffo underpass, with the Arenella exit closed. EAV lifts will be closed at Mostra (23:30 PM–11:16 PM), Piave (23:30 AM–10:30 AM), Soccavo (04:30 AM–10:30 AM and 04:30 PM–16:23 PM), and the Boscotrecase Vesuvian station (21:25 PM–13:13 PM).
