Michelangelo's David will come to life at the Academy of Fine Arts, thanks to an exceptional work of Video Mapping!
Today, 27 2015 February, Michelangelo's David will come alive at theAcademy of Fine Arts of Naples.
The extraordinary reproduction of the sculpture, located at the entrance of the School, will be the protagonist of "Art remixed on Michelangelo's David", an excellent work of video mapping realized by the Neapolitan graduate Valentina Calabrese.
The event, as part of the thesis project of the brilliant student, looks like a harmonious artistic mix between the main pictorial techniques of '900 and Video Mapping, the new form of artistic expression of "augmented reality".
This is an avant-garde technique, where a work of art is amplified through its projection on palaces and monuments.
The performance is part of a large research study started during the course of "Digital applications for the visual arts", by the teacher. Donato Maiello, the same thesis supervisor.
An excellent experiment in the name of painting and multimedia, where for the first time past and present will not be compared, but harmoniously merged with each other, giving life to a real "Work of art, in the work of art".
An excellent way to enhance the artistic and cultural heritage, which will be available to everyone. In fact, starting from 9 March 2015, the video of the extraordinary creation and the different phases of realization, will be visible on the online website.
