What to do and festivals in Campania during the weekend from 13 to 15 May 2022
In this beautiful weekend there are some tasty festivals not to be missed in different provinces of the Campania.
From the 13 15 May 2022 we cannot fail to taste the typical products of Southern Italy in Benevento or the famous Pietrelcina artichoke and Wall strawberries. In Maiori the Carnival with colorful parades and allegorical floats.

1Wall strawberry festival with Tony Tammaro in free concert
In Parete, in the province of Caserta, the Strawberry Festival returns, the annual appointment with this delicious festival which unfortunately, due to the pandemic, had been interrupted.
2The Grand Carnival of Maiori returns with a great party and parades of allegorical floats
In Maiori everything is ready to welcome the celebrations for the forty-eight edition of the famous Grand Carnival. The event was postponed due to the health emergency and rescheduled in the spring.

3Pietrelcina Artichoke Festival
After two years this tasty is back festival in the center of Pietrelcina with an important appointment because it reaches the 42nd edition. For more than 40 years this festival has embellished the town and let us taste excellent dishes and products.
It will take place in Colesanti Park and of course we will be able to taste the typical Pietrelcina artichoke, which since 2021 is Slow Food Presidium.
There will be no lack of it live music.
4Gusto Italia on Tour in Benevento
This week the Food and Wine, Crafts and Tourism Fair arrives in Benevento with numerous stands where you can find typical products of the regions of Southern Italy. There will be handcrafted products and many other novelties.
They will be there in the morning and afternoon of Saturday and Sunday the shows of the puppet theater of ancient tradition by Giorgio Ferraiolo.
Here's what we can find:
- Basilicata: bran pepper, preserves, homemade pasta, legumes, Sarconi beans, salami and Lucan cheeses such as canestrato di Moliterno. Even medieval wine to accompany desserts
- Puglia: traditional biscuits and taralli from Casa del tarallo di Zuccardi
- Calabria: thanks to the Nero di Calabria di Taverna company there will be typical products such as nduja, and with the Liquirizia Calabra company we will find products based on Calabrian licorice.
- Sicily: nougat, Sicilian almond and pistachio brittle, cannoli, cassate and almond paste.
