Wine & TheCity 2019 starts in Naples, the great kermesse dedicated to wine with events, meetings, exhibitions and guided tours!
One of the most important events dedicated to wine a Napoli, Wine & TheCity, back with a fantastic new edition in the city. It is about twelfth appointment of the event that every year sees the most important national wine labels as protagonists and that includes a very rich program of initiatives in many locations.
The dates to mark on the calendar this year go from 9 to 18 May 2019 and the theme of this edition is the Moon. The claim is "It is never always the same”And refers to our satellite, for centuries the inspiration of poets and writers, but also a great guide for cultivation in the vineyard. In addition, this year falls on 50th anniversary of the 1969 moon landing.
The idea has always been that of bring the general public to discover little-known places in Naples, but also of the most famous ones, through events, concerts and exhibitions, accompanying everything from refined glasses of wine.
For the first time, in this edition, the program provides vertical appointments that mark various times of the day, from morning to evening. The calendar starts with the site specific video installation "Across the Moon" by the artist Alessandra Franco in Piazza dei Martiri and will continue with many appointments moon-oriented. The grand finale will be the 18 May with Esbats al Siren Bath with a show of ,, dance, music, wines, signature cuisine, sea and kayak.
Wine & TheCity, an independent project of the Wine & Thecity cultural association born in 2008 from an idea by Donatella Bernabò Silorata, wants promote ubana creativity and the culture of good drinking and its unnecessary format immediately attracted the attention of the media and beyond.
This year the section "Traveling with Wine & Thecity“, A new initiative in collaboration with Capodichino Airport to learn about wine destinations in Italy and Europe through exclusive itineraries.
Moreover, for this edition, the prestigious Teatro di San Carlo has chosen Wine & Thecity as businesses for the Opera Wine Lab project. In this way, for the first time it links the languages of opera with those of wine.
