Naples and Salerno, a single Campania hub

With the addition of Salerno to its network, Wizz Air is building a Campania hub based on two airports : Naples Capodichino as its operational base and Salerno Costa d'Amalfi as the new departure point for international connections.

The stated goal is to increase travel opportunities for passengers and support international connectivity and tourist flows to the region. For those booking, the changes primarily translate into new round-trip combinations to Central Europe and the Balkans.

The CEO's words

“Campania plays a central role in Wizz Air’s growth strategy in Italy,” commented József Váradi , CEO of the company, explaining that Naples and Salerno represent “two complementary components of a single, strong Campania hub.”
