Work begins on Monday 10 January 2022 for the new one bike lane, bicycle path, starting from Piazza Bovio to the Center Headquarters of Naples. We are talking about a new section of a cycle path which, after a long time, will finally see its construction also in this area of the historic center.
These works put into practice the ordinance 16/4/2016 of the Municipality that followed the proposal presented to the Municipality the previous year, therefore 7 years ago, to create just this new path.
Time has passed, but at least finally from today we start with the works that they should last a month with operations that will continue even at night.
The prohibition of parking to allow the works
From 10 January and for about a month, there will be a ban on parking:
- in the areas affected from time to time by the works from Piazza Bovio to the Management Center;
- from hours to 22.00 5.00.
The new stretch of cycle path
This new cycle path that will see the light soon will be like this:
- departure from piazza Bovio;
- it crosses Corso Umberto, the so-called Rettifilo;
- it will end at the entrance to the business center.
In this way there will also be an additional connection between the Central Station, which is on the path, and Piazza Bovio because the two places, where there are two subway stations, can be reached even more easily using the bicycle.
The cost is 170 thousand euros, as already estimated in the previous months
