Sunday March 12 2023, the new edition of the will be held “21 km of Campi Flegrei“, a half marathon that unites ideally the Phlegrean area on the Naples waterfront through the run. The competition has its roots in the “Park to Park“, known international competition which, after eight editions, change formula e obiettivo.
The event, organized by theNaples Road Runners“, will award the eighth Italian-American joint trophy and will take the off at 9:00 from the seafront of Miliscola-Bacoli.
The race course will wind along the territory of archaeological park of the Phlegraean fields and will cross sites of great historical and archaeological value such as the castle of Bay, the stoves of Nero, the temple of Diana, the temple of Venus, the submerged city of Baia and the temple of Serapis. The ride will also cross the shores of the lakes of Misenum and Lucrinus, then go through Bacoli and Pozzuoli and end up in the area of the Round Diaz on Naples waterfront.
The event, which enjoys the patronage of the Municipalities of Naples, Pozzuoli and Bacoli, aims to be the attracting event for sports tourism in the entire Phlegrean area and consists of two events: the walk sports scheduled for Saturday 11 March at the Bosco di Capodimonte and the race on Sunday 12 March.

The race of the21 Km of Campi Flegrei 2023” will kick off from seafront of Bacoli and through the route, which tells stories and myths of emperors, gods and mythological heroes, it will wind along the territory of the Archaeological Park, touching various sites, including:
- Castle of Baia
- Stufe di Nerone
- Diana temple
- Temple of Venus
- Sunken city of Baia
- Temple of Serapis
The competition will end in Naples, covering:
- Bagnoli square
- via Diocleziano
- via Julius Caesar
- Piazza Sannazzaro
- via Caracciolo
- and ending at the Rotonda Diaz.
