The P'zzetta and Cuotto Wine Festival is back in Scisciano: in November San Martino is celebrated among delicacies and scents of the past
From 22 to 24 November 2019 Scisciano once again celebrates the patron saint Saint martin: From 18: 00 to 23: 00 you can taste the gastronomic specialties of the area and of course try the traditional sciscianese sweets together with the famous cooked wine. Like every year theevent is free.
The p'zzetta is the absolute protagonist of the event: it is a sweet rhomboid about the size of a large biscuit and with a dense and rather chewy consistency. The main ingredient is the must, which makes the p'zzetta a typically seasonal dessert. The dough is enriched with nuts, apples, pumpkin, citrus peel and baked in the oven.
In addition to the p'zzetta and the inevitable, aromatic cooked wine, the festival will propose a gastronomic journey which will allow you to discover the traditional local dishes including stockfish with papaccelle, fried anchovies and squid, the typical, very precious chestnuts.
