Back to Scisciano the Sagra della P'zzetta and the Cuotto Wine: in November San Martino is celebrated among delicacies and scents of the past
Since 22 to 24 November 2019 Scisciano once again celebrates the patron saint Saint martin: From 18: 00 to 23: 00 you can taste the gastronomic specialties of the area and of course try the traditional sciscianese desserts together with the famous cooked wine. As every year theevent is free.
La p'zzetta is the absolute protagonist of the event: it is a sweet rhomboid the size of a large biscuit with a thick and rather rubbery consistency. The main ingredient is the must, that makes p'zzetta a typically seasonal dessert. The dough is enriched with nuts, apples, pumpkin, citrus peel and baked in the oven.
In addition to the p'zzetta and the inevitable, aromatic cooked wine, the festival will propose a gastronomic journey which will allow you to discover the traditional local dishes including stockfish with papaccelle, fried anchovies and squid, the typical, very precious chestnuts.
