Bad news for the coast of Licola because an order has arrived from the mayor of Pozzuoli, Luigi Manzoni, which provides for the bathing ban after the samples made by Arpac.

You can't swim in one stretch of sea 899 meters long that goes from the bed of the Camaldoli to the borders of the Municipality of Giugliano. This trait is called Lido di Licola.

They also expect new withdrawals by Arpac, to better define the situation, but for the moment the Municipality has decided to ban bathing.

The water is too polluted

Of course the reason for this choice is thewater pollution. Unfortunately, in the previous weekend many people had complained about the presence of foams and waste in the water, confirming that actually bathing was becoming risky.

Other sections with a ban on bathing

Already at the beginning of the summer season, the ARPAC had communicated to the mayor of Pozzuoli other areas with polluted water, which were then banned and where bathing is prohibited. The ban will last throughout the summer and let's talk about the stretch of coast opposite to Licola mare, that is from via Sibilla to the promontory of Cuma.

In this way, the stretch where you cannot swim is really wide and is generally frequented by thousands of people which currently cannot dive.
