Events, visits and workshops on Jurassic with the guide of life-sized dinosaurs at the Reggia di Portici!
Il Musa - Museums of the Palace of Portici, museum pole of the University of Naples Federico II, proposes the initiative to students A Walk With Dinosaurs at the Palace of Portici, with interesting recreational and educational paths to learn about the fascinating prehistoric era.
In this way they will be able to develop the five senses within the Botanical Garden, listen to animated readings to know the stories about some animals that can admire live and discover the cave paintings and the techniques of primitive men. There are two different activities and all, at the moment, is valid exclusively for schools.
The visit to the Jurassic
The event includes an activity carried out by Archimede Aggiustatutto, a messy inventor, but also a good father. For this reason he decided to bring his son Peppe to the discovery of dinosaurs and prehistoric men building a time machine. All children will follow him through misunderstandings and funny situations and will learn many things about the Jurassic and Prehistory.
Children will see closely two life-sized dinosaurs. The itinerary will continue with a real paleontologist who digs his fossils trying to decipher the remains of dinosaurs and their traces and there will also be workshops.
The appointments are for the 15 and 29 March, 11 and 21 April 2017. maximum number of participants is 80, exclusively for schools. Reservation required at least 10 days before.
The visit to the cave paintings
This activity, unlike the previous one, can be requested every day of the week (upon reservation and check availability of the operator a week before). It involves the discovery of cave paintings and the techniques that prehistoric men used to make them happen. They are fundamental to understanding such an ancient era and you will also learn how a paleontologist unearths fossils. Babies will be led by a life-sized, talking dinosaur, a Homo Sapiens and Archimedes Fix It. At the end of the visit, the children will receive a baby gadgets realized during the activity.
