Stands, laboratories and scientific meetings at the Market Exhibition at the Cloister of San Marcellino with guest of honor Alberto Angela!
The 23 24 and April 2016, at Cloister of the Saints Marcellino and Festo at Largo S. Marcellino in Naples, the event returns "Collecting Nature", whose guest of honor will be the paleontologist Alberto Angela.
The market exhibition is an annual event in which they deepen, through guided tours and conferences with experts, the themes concerning nature and science, whose mechanisms and beauties are explained. An event that deals with scientific dissemination to 360 degrees, involving children, who are always curious to know what surrounds them.
For all fans, some exhibitors will put showcasing their unique collections of minerals, fossils, shells, insects, plants, small natural objects and accessories for collectors.
The exhibits
Three temporary exhibitions will be set up:
- “Once upon a time in North America… before the dinosaurs”, which will be set up in the Museum of Paleontology, in the Allosaurus skeleton room;
- The Cipree collection;
- The fascinating world of minerals
The guests
The journalist Alberto Angela will hold an exclusive conference on April 23 at 11.00 called “Discovering the secrets and wonders of St. Peter's”. There will also be another interesting conference entitled "The Dinosaurs of the Fisherman's Village", which will take place on Sunday 24, held by Flavio Bacchia, head of the "Stoneage".
The laboratories
For the occasion, educational workshops on mineralogy, zoology, physics, anthropology and paleontology as well as practical demonstrations, simulations and astronomical observations will be organized.
The event is organized by the Museum Center of Natural and Physical Sciences of the Federico II University of Naples, with the collaboration of the Capodimonte Observatory.
