Signorini wanted to sweep away any indiscretion by claiming to have sighted Francesca Cipriani well 15 days before the important day. The reason for his absence would seem to be related to commitments working. Here are his words
I want to get serious, I didn't reply to the controversy. Yesterday I found myself on the web as a "defector", like the one who stands up at weddings. I haven't given up on any wedding, Francesca and Alessandro know it too. I had accepted their invitation but 15 days before the wedding I had an engagement and I called them, I warned them 15 days before the wedding. If they didn't have time to remove my name from the invitations, I can't be responsible.
So it's not about rudeness, probably the married couple did not have the time to remove the name of Alfonso Signorini from the list and consequently the rumors started.
