In the context of Carditello Festival, which each year presents a program full of music and events, Friday July 22 2022 there will be concert "Alice sings Battiato", a tribute to the great Sicilian singer-songwriter who died just over a year ago.
Alice, whose real name is Carla Bissi, was one very important collaborator and artistic partner during Battiato's career because the two worked together and the end-of-month concert will be a way both to recall this collaboration and to pay him a tribute.
The disappearance of the Sicilian singer-songwriter and philosopher has left an unbridgeable void in the Italian artistic panorama, and not only, and to remember his immense art it is one of the many ways to make it immortal.
Alice's homage to Battiato between refinement and authenticity
The concert on July 22 will see Alice sing on the notes of maestro Carlo Guaitoli at the piano, artist already collaborator of Battiato for many years, also as conductor.
The artistic affinity that has always linked Alice to Battiato is very deep and will also shine through in the live at the Reggia di Carditello. She was also one great friend of the Sicilian master and this bond currently makes it asole interpreter of his repertoire.
We will be able to listen to the greats Battiato classics, but also some songs never sung before, Besides songs made known to the public only in 2016 during the tour Battiato and Alice.
