The elephant Wini of the Naples Zoo turns 50 and she will be given a special cake to celebrate!
Allo Naples Zoo, Sunday May 7 2017, we will celebrate the birthday of one of the most important and tender guests of the structure, theelefantessa Wini.
The pachyderm performs 50 years and, for the occasion, the staff of the Zoo, including veterinarians and keepers, decided to give her one great special cake made with fruit and vegetables. The delivery of the Dolce it will take place during a ceremony of great joy to which everyone can attend to wish a happy birthday to the nice Wini.
Although the cake is a bit special, because it is created with healthy foods that are naturally suitable for feeding the elephant, it will be presented in pompous form as it suits a birthday worthy of its name.
Zoo app
Recall that the Zoo also has some news for visitors, such as the app called the Zoo of Naples that can be downloaded from Google Play. It is a small program that facilitates the visit to the structure giving practical, historical and cultural information and also helps children to learn new things with fun.
Crowdfunding
Crowdfunding was also activated for the creation of a new Exhibit for the Chimpanzees. in correspondence with the old cages (which will form part of the indoor, ie the internal shelter of the animals), to create a more suitable environment for them. The new area includes a large outdoor area that will cover part of the area in front of the old cages and there will be trees, lianas and various types of environmental enrichments in which the chimpanzees can have fun.
