The Giardino della Vanella opens at the Mann in Naples, a thousand square meters with Wi-Fi

Wonderful news in Naples, after 50 years of closure, the wonderful is finally returned to the public Vanilla Garden Located in the MANN, the National Archaeological Museum of Naples, in a new and technological guise.

The Garden was designed in the early nineteenth century by the architect Pietro Bianchi, it is a matter of 1000 square meters which are once again accessible. The refurbishment project by specialized firms euphorbia, which also deals with the Capodimonte Park, e Minerva, has provided for the use of PON 2014-2020 funds.

Vanilla Garden it is located between the seventeenth-century building and the new arm of the museum built at the beginning of the last century. It was redeveloped between 1924 and 1932 and has been for the last 50 years used as a deposit of marbles, thus becoming inaccessible to the public.

The central part of the garden is completely paved, from here secondary avenues branch off which lead to the newest part of the Mann, in the area where the Auditorium, didactic area and restoration laboratories.

In the garden cones have been planted iceberg roses and oriental poppies, and as explained by the architect and landscape designer who oversaw the rearrangement, Silvia Neri, the choice of flowers is based on the spontaneity of the crops.

Inside the garden it will be possible to connect to a WIFI network, thanks to the connection, visitors will be able to scan a QR code and read all the curiosities and information dedicated to plants and their resemblance to species represented in Pompeian mosaics and frescoes, an initiative undertaken thanks to the collaboration with the Federico II Faculty of Agriculture.
