In the Flegrean Arena in Naples, Il Barbiere di Siviglia is staged, Rossini's masterpiece staged by the San Carlo Theater!

Because of the Saturday rain 2 September there were various technical problems to the stage, above all to the orchestra pit, which make the preparation of the show impossible at the Teatro San Carlo.

Refund: holders of tickets to this show or to the Cinderella ballet will be able to use them to attend the ballet to be held at San Carlo on 18 September at 20.30 pm (with the same scenography designed for the Arena) or convert them for an event of their choice for the new season, paying any price difference on the reduced rate. After a very rich summer program, theArena Flegrea in Naples returns to host another great event. The 16 September 2017 it is indeed the turn of the Barber of Seville, Rossini's masterpiece that has become a symbol of the comic opera.

The work is presented with thepreparation of the Teatro San Carlo, in the original version of the 1999, also reproposed in the 2008. As the director Riccardo Canessa explains, it is particular emphasize the comedy, to engage the public and create a feeling with the actors.

The show owes its lightness also to the suggestive scenography by Lele Luzzati and ai colorful costumes of Santuzza Calì. Among the actors stand out Mario Cassi in the role of Figaro, Chiara Amarù in that of Rosina and Carlo Lepore in the role of Don Basilio.

Brilliant pièce with wonderful music, this opera is one of Rossini's best known. It was composed in the 1816, based on Beaumarchais' previous work, to debut during that year's Roman carnival.
