Behrami covered in blood: the fault lies with Lichtsteiner

Valon Behrami has had a scary time since the Swiss national team's training camp. The Italian midfielder was caught by photographers during training with his face covered in blood , an injury he sustained following a collision with Lichtsteiner.
The Napoli player, highly sought after by Mazzarri's Inter, came off worse in the tackle, suffering a nasty cut to his face. Yesterday's afternoon session was thus abruptly interrupted while the Kosovar-born Swiss national was treated.
Behrami and the Juventus right-back were fighting to recover a loose ball when the latter violently charged his teammate, causing the nasty injury . The Bianconeri must have been excessively forceful in his tackle. The photos published by Goal.com leave no doubt about this.

Let's hope we don't hear of similar incidents in the future. Switzerland , top of Group E in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers in Brazil with 11 points, will face Cyprus on Saturday afternoon in Geneva.
