On social networks, Benedetta Rossi, a well-known face of the cooking program "Fatto in casa da Benedetta", was attacked by the haters and judged by the latter as a "non-cook" for her choice to offer dishes cooked with quality and easy-to-find ingredients . The food blogger bursts into tears and vents live and, in the chaos, Antonella Clerici also intervenes, who defends her to the sword on "It's always noon".

Benedetta Rossi is undoubtedly one of the most loved food bloggers on Italian TV: voice and face of the program Homemade by Benedetta, over the years has been appreciated not only for the ease of its recipes, but also for its choice to use only genuine products, easy to find and which, more often than not, they also cost less. A theme which, during this period, it is becoming more and more heard, even in Italy, where saving has become a necessity for families and more and more people are approaching products of local origin.

Recently, the food blogger from the Marche region (but not only her: her fans have also been targeted) has been the victim of violent and repeated attacks by haters, who got to the point from accuse her of being a “non-cook” only because she, by choice, uses only locally sourced and easy to find ingredients for her dishes. Some have even claimed that she only cooks things for housewives and that fans of her know nothing about cooking.

Attacks to which, three days ago, Benedetta Rossi she replied with a video posted on her Instagram profile, in which she showed herself in tears and where, after having tried to "pretend nothing happened", he decided to put "some stakes". Here is the full text that she wrote under her video:

“This is the kind of video that I don't like making, but now it's time to set boundaries.
I don't care if I get made fun of for what I do, how I do it and what I stand for.

Now after more than a decade on the web I'm used to it, but what bothers me so much is when I'm taken as a pretext to offend my community and entire categories of people.

Normal people who are mocked and treated as ignorant just because some who claim to rise to omnipotent popularizers, instead of stopping to express their ideas, launch themselves into judgments and categorizations which, in my opinion, border on discrimination.
I have nothing against those who share their knowledge and know how to explain better techniques than the ones I use, in fact I'm the first to listen to learn something, but there is a way and a way to do it.

Lately the trend of "snobbish culinary criticism with offenses included" has arrived, these are columnists looking for easy clicks and creators looking for popularity and views. Under their posts, an arena made up of comments full of insults, defamations and offenses without any control towards everything and everyone systematically lights up, packs of adults who stir up each other, in short, a toxic, squalid and disgusting environment. Maybe it's time to stop! I'm so sorry for the outburst...but when you want, you want."

Antonella Clerici defends it at It's always noon "The kitchen is pop, not snob."

Surprisingly, immediately after it outburst of Benedetta Rossi on social media, It intervened Antonella Clerici, host of the cooking show It is always noon, which in the first episode of the week took the defenses of the food blogger from the Marches, lashing out without half measures against what he called (his own words) “gastrofighetti”:

“I was struck by the news that our food blogger friend who has four and a half million followers on Instagram has suffered an attack from haters who describe her as a non-cook, who cooks simple things for the people and for housewives. That is her strength. These gastrofichetti are tired. The kitchen shouldn't be snobbish but pop.”

Clerici, speaking of the attacks on Benedetta Rossi, also seized the opportunity to tell an episode, also the latter very unpleasant, that happened during the conduct of the Sanremo Festival 2010:

” Nobody wanted to take him with me and there was a singer, whose name I will never say, who said “I'm not going there because Clerici tastes too much of gravy”. Well the gravy was my hit. Thanks to pop, thanks to the people who watch us every day. Excuse the outburst but when I go I go."
