Review Antica Osteria Pisano in Naples. Tradition and quality at your service!

Today we review the "Antica Osteria Pisano" to Via Crocelle ai Mannesi, 1 (corner via duomo). Getting there is very simple: from Via Duomo, coming from Via Cavour, just pass the Cathedral of Naples, walk about 200m and turn left in the clearing, from Corso Umberto just go up for about 500m along Via Duomo and at the second clearing go to the top right corner.

The local

The restaurant is extremely graceful, cozy and comfortable, despite being very small. You immediately feel at home, and a warm ancient warmth seeds it will envelop you like a blanket. I must premise that I am extremely enthusiastic from having discovered this exceptional place.

The interior is very hospitable and pleasant, a warm line of light brown bricks surrounds the entire underside of the walls, classic and simple tables, perhaps not quite in step with the times, and wooden chairs confirm its traditional heart.

The owners are extremely nice and friendly, in particular Mrs. Concetta Pisano, a Neapolitan DOC with sympathy in the soul. You feel like you are at a friend's house.

The offer is quite wide and also often offers new dishes off the menu with fish specialties!

The menu

We explicitly requested the owner a menu from 15 € or less, with these possible choices offered to us:

First:

- Gnocchetti alla Sorrentina
- Spaghetti all'Amatriciana
- Spaghetti with Giras
- Spaghetti with fresh tomatoes

Seconds:

- Gilded and fried anchovies
- Cuttlefish and potatoes
- Meatballs
- Cutlet

Boundary:
- Seasonal

Included in the price covered, bread e water

We tasted dishes inside and out of this menu.

The order

As far as the dumplings I was really ecstatic, exquisite and well cooked.
I can not add anything else, perfect.

Off the menu proposed, we tasted spaghetti ai seafood that I strongly recommend if you want to get out of 2 or 3 euro budjet.

Everything was very fresh, nothing frozen, not even the shadow!
We ordered a portion of fries, not even those were frozen.

Small flaw, if we want to define it, pasta.
Fresh, good but .. a little hard!

Some of you would define it as "very al dente“, Speaking with the owner, the reason for this choice was clarified “This is how you do it in Naples! If anyone wants it more cooked, just tell me! ".

Clearer than that..

The fish was fresh, very soft and perfectly cooked, served and surrounded.

Even the salad was exquisite, the olive oil used exceptional, to the point that I regret not having asked them where they should be supplied!

Our experience

As already said, you find me extremely satisfied. "My belly made hut" I will say every time I pass by the “Antica Osteria Pisano”.

Exceptional, really.

I really appreciated the transparency with which they cook their dishes, in fact the kitchen is visible from any table and it is enough to turn around to see them at work on your plate.

Conclusions

I highly recommend everyone to spend as soon as possible to enjoy the REAL Neapolitan cuisine in every facet, in a relaxing, private and homely environment.

Unlike the other time, I did not focus exclusively on our order from 15 € having been provided more menus from 15€, at that point I preferred to evaluate more extensively the place and the dishes so as to be able to give you an opinion on the whole offer surrogated by a valid experience.
