However the video circulating on TikTok it is actually a hoax and it concerns another woman.

Celine Dion has publicly announced that she suffers from a rare syndrome call stiff person syndrome or stiff person syndrome (SPR). This neurological disorder mainly affects women and causes muscle spasms, stiffness in the limbs and chest, cramps and other symptoms.

The diagnosis explained the many spasms the singer had to endure, affecting her daily life and career.

A video appeared on TikTok showing a woman very similar to Celine Dion in a wheelchair at her son's wedding. The woman is taken to the church by her boys and then raised to embrace the future husband.

The video moved the web, but the truth is that it is a hoax.

The truth behind the video: Kathy Poirier and her story

The woman in the video is not Celine Dion, but Kathy Poirier, a 55-year-old mother suffering from lateral sclerosis amyotrophic (ALS).
The video shows the wedding of his son Zak Poirier to Ana d'Adesky, which took place on 9 April 2022 in Florida. The spread of this fake news was a huge lack of respect towards all the protagonists of the story, all the patients and Celine Dion herself.
