Rai 4 continues to premiere the series “Chapelwaite”, with the third and fourth episode on air Wednesday 29 March at 21.20 pm. The plot kicks off when Captain Charles Boone, widower after the death of his wife, decides to move with his children from his hometown in Massachusetts to the old family home located in Preacher's Corners, Maine, despite the difficult memories of a traumatic childhood related to that place.

The plot of the new episodes

Charles and his family face hostility from the townspeople, who don't appreciate the Boones' return. Furthermore, the protagonist is forced to deal with disturbing and mysterious events, which lead him to think that their house is cursed. The series is set in 1850 and is based on an early story by Stephen King, “Jerusalem's Lot”, included in the collection "Sometimes they come back".

It is a genre-bending story period drama to the typical supernatural atmospheres that characterize King's narrative universe, with elements such as family curses, superstitions and traumas linked to a dark and murky past.

What happens in the third episode

In the third episode Charles feels sinister sounds behind the walls of the house, like large rats scratching and gnawing at the walls, despite having checked for an infestation. The search for answers takes it to a mental hospital, where his worst fears seem to come to life.

What happens in the fourth episode

In the fourth episode, Charles is convinced that his hallucinations are the result of a descent into madness and decides to be admitted to an asylum to receive treatment. Meanwhile, Tane discovers something unusual in the barn, which could be the key to unlocking the secrets of chapelwaite. But a sinister group of pale-faced followers arrives in Preacher's Corner carrying a disturbing message.
