Elly Schlein is the new leader of the Democratic Party Italian, after defeating Stefano Bonaccini in the primaries for the party secretariat. Born in 1985 a Lugano, from academic parents, he studied in Bologna at the DAMS and then in Law. It is admittedly bisexual.

La sister of Elly, Susanna Schlein, is instead engaged in a diplomatic career and public service. Currently, she holds the position of first diplomatic advisor at the Italian Embassy in Athens, after working as ex-head of the consular chancery of the Italian embassy in Tirana.
His political career
Her career policy begins in 2013, when it animates the protest movement “Occupy PD”, born against the 101 snipers who had stopped Romano Prodi's race towards the Quirinale. In 2014, you were elected to the European Parliament in the North East with over 50 preferences. In the 2015 adheres to possibile, but in 2019 breaks the partnership with Pippo Civati and starts to move alone. At the Politics he chooses to run with the Democratic Party in Emilia-Romagna, armored in the proportional list, by dressing the clothes of the anti-Meloni.
The victory thanks to the open primaries
The newly elected secretary is the first woman and the youngest ever. You beat the favourite Stefano Bonaccini, who had conquered the majority of votes among members of the party. But the vote of the members was not the only determining factor, since the primary were open even to non-members, and Sabatini was able to win the support of a large number public, demonstrating great charisma and communication skills.
