The famous Spanish pianist José Luis Nieto will perform in a cineconcert, music with original songs a film by Charlie Chaplin
Il Maestro José Luis Nieto, an internationally renowned Spanish pianist, will perform in Naples for the only Italian leg of his European tour, which sees him engaged in the dissemination of an interesting project both musical and cinematographic.
His will in fact be a real cineconcerto made in homage to Charlie Chaplin and to one of his masterpieces, the film Il Monello (The Kid). Maestro Nieto will play atAuditorium Salvo D'Acquisto del Vomero from 6 to 8 March 2015, proposing itself in this atypical project.
The initiative was born from the idea of music, creating a real soundtrack, the silent film of Chaplin, playing the piano live during the screening of the feature film. All the music was composed by the pianist himself and conceived to be performed on the scenes of the film, in order to mark the rhythm and enrich its interpretation.
The artist's intentions go further, however, as the purpose of the evenings is mainly that of approaching classical music the public that generally does not go to concert halls and allow an easier use thanks to the vision of the film. With the help of the cinematographic medium, José Luis Nieto will try to make those present understand what a prelude, a nocturne, a joke and all the other parts that make up a work are.
José Luis Nieto he studied at the Royal Superior Conservatory of Music in Madrid and at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, playing in the most prestigious concert halls and in European, American and Russian theaters, also stopping several times in Naples.
The March event will be a fascinating one artistic journey that will make us rediscover the beauty of both classical music and an increasingly rare auteur cinema.
