The most important films by Pier Paolo Pasolini at the free cineforum at the former Asilo Filangieri in Naples!
From 14 January to 11 February 2016, every Thursday, the former Filangieri Asylum in Napoli will show you the most important films in the filmography of the Friulian director Pier Paolo Pasolini.
The debut film, Accattone, which will inaugurate this celebratory cineforum, still represents today a point of reference for dog lovers who loveinnovative audiovisual language. The theme focuses on research and the return to a primitive desire in conflict with the craving for the possession of modern civilization.
In the second film in the program, Il Gospel according to Matthew, we find the pursuit of purity and that's why landscapes and characters are thin. Silence dominates in many scenes becoming plastic, expressive, poetic.
In Uccellacci and birds, instead, played by Totò, there is a strong one criticism of bourgeois society nascent, masked by a subtle surrealist irony.
In Theorem, Pasolini highlights the destruction of one person when another threatens his apparent equilibrium.
The final film will be Oedipus Rand in which the author expresses theinadequacy of the subject of the unconscious in the face of the real.
