Claude Monet - The Immersive Experience: the exhibition that has traveled the world
The seventeenth-century Church of San Potito, in its very suggestive context, hosts the exhibition that stopped in many other cities before arriving in Naples. After Brussels, Barcelona, Milan and Turin, the exhibition will amaze us in our city, fwaving masterfully in the location and making the experience unique.
The Church was chosen by the Exhibition Hub, a Belgian company that deals with the design and production of immersive exhibitions.
The Immersive Gallery between virtual reality and plays of colors and light
By visiting “Claude Monet: The Immersive Experience” we will be able to use the virtual reality with viewers and a lot of other technology to appreciate the works of Impressionism that are presented to us, immersing ourselves in them a 360°. The exhibition extends into over 1000 square meters of screens between colors and plays of light.
They are shown more than 300 paintings by Monet that, with the use of 100.000 images used to animate his work on 60 projectors, give us an experience that will awaken our senses, giving us an innovative way to appreciate and experience art. I will come to life Giverny Gardens with the nymphs and the colored bridges and you can also see the painter's Atelier.
Obviously the famous play of light of his paintings will be the protagonists: we will see them in the painting Woman with umbrella or in his famous ones Poppies, but also in the well-known paintings that immortalize the Rouen Cathedral, represented in different angles and at different times of the day. Even the Parliament of London , Saint-Lazare station they are the protagonists of a series of paintings.
Giverny's Flower Garden, known as Clos Normand, a property purchased in May 1883 by the painter and transformed into a magnificent and lush garden, was also a source of similar inspiration and fueled his fascination with daylight. His many bridge paintings, such as the so-called Japanese one of the famous The water lily pond, green harmony, they can attest to it. This magnificent property is reconstructed in the exhibition, across its bridges, on which visitors can photograph themselves.
In the last room they take place workshops for children to allow them to create works inspired by Monet's art and take them home as a visit experience. You can also take guided tours by the Association "Art over time".
