Soundtracks at the Monastery of Santa Chiara in Naples with Neapolitan music and tastings

At the Monastery of Santa Chiara in Naples, “Colonne sonore” with classical Neapolitan songs and the Mirabilia Vocis choir.

At the Monastery of Santa Chiara on Saturday 6 July 2019, “ Colonne sonore ” will take place , a fascinating review of the most beautiful songs from the Neapolitan classical repertoire : starting at 18 pm.

Pulcinella and other characters depicted in the famous riggiole will come to life and accompany visitors on an evocative musical journey made of tarantellas, performed by a folk group from Campania, and classic Neapolitan songs, the latter performed by the Mirabilia Vocis choir.

Interspersed with the notes there will be the words of the writer Amedeo Colella, who will tell nice "paraustielli" (anecdotes) related to the history of folk dance and Neapolitan music.

Music and words, then, but not only that: there will also be delicious tastings of the great Neapolitan culinary tradition.

We end on a high note with dessert and coffee.

The "Soundtracks" program

From 18,00 to 20,00 every half hour it will be possible to book admission to the event.

The tour includes:

a stage in the eighteenth-century majolica cloister, with Pulcinella, aka Francesca Murru;

then folk dances performed by a folk group from Campania and musical paraustielli recounted by the writer Amedeo Colella, in the Sala delle antica Cappe;

for all tastings typical of the Neapolitan tradition in the fourteenth-century Chiostrino di San Francesco.

cake and coffee will be served in the sixteenth-century atrium;

at 21,30 pm concert - show with Neapolitan classical music with the Mirabilia Vocis choir; conductor Daniela M. Di Monaco, on the piano Assunta Vilardi, soprano Aminta De Luca and Rosaria Ceci, on flute Vincenzo Laudiero;

How to participate:

The ticket price is 18 euro per person (under 12 free). Groups larger than ten people 15 euro per person.

The ticket includes: tour, tasting (including 2 tastings), dessert, coffee and concert.

There will be a small tasting for children from 3 years upwards.
