The Teatro Mediterraneo in Naples will open its doors to spectators for the Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti's New Year's Concert on January 1, 2020 , starting at 19:30 PM. The program will include Strauss waltzes, Cicerenella, and international pop hits.

Music for all tastes

The Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti has decided to undertake the extremely challenging task of blending extremely diverse musical genres into a riot of sounds and harmonies . Conducted by Luigi De Filippi , the musicians will accompany memorable performances by soprano Naomi Rivieccio, already known for her participation in X Factor 2018.

The program: from Strauss to Jessie J.

The soprano's versatility will allow the Orchestra to perform, among other things, excerpts from La Traviata and offbeat rap pieces like Chris Brown 's Look At Me Now . Musical theater fans will be moved by the performance of The Sound of Music, a song famous for its inclusion in the soundtrack of the Julie Andrews musical The Sound of Music.
