2017 Christmas Concert at the Pausilypon Park with guided tour of the archaeological site
The 2017 Christmas Concert will be held in the Pausilypon Park: the harp performance will be accompanied by a guided tour of the archaeological site!
Il Pausilypon Archaeological Park welcomes an event not to be missed, the 2017 Christmas Concert “Noël's Harp”. Scheduled for 17 December 2017, the evocative exhibition will be accompanied by one guided tour of the site dating back to Roman times.
I pieces on the harp will be performed by Stella Gifuni without electric amplification: in the lineup are proposed the most known Christmas pieces like Tu Scendi dalle Stelle, Quanno Nascette Ninno and Silent Night. The performance will be welcomed byancient Odeion, where even the wealthy Romans who frequented the place could attend musical performances.
Before the concert, a guide will lead visitors to discover the remains of the villa of the Cavaliere Publio Vedio Pollione. Dating back to the first century BC, the structure also included gardens, spa facilities and areas dedicated to entertainment. From the promontory of Trentaremi, on which it stands, you can enjoy one of the best views of the Gulf of Naples.
The concert is organized by the association CSI Gaiola Onlus in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism.
