As the year began, football fans found themselves faced with a nasty surprise: Dazn has changed its prices of your subscriptions. In fact, from 2 January 2024 the plans Dazn Start, Standard and Plus they have new costs, which involve both new and old subscribers.
The new DAZN tariff plans and how much they cost
Dazn's price change has introduced new rates for its various plans, the main change being that now there is the annual constraint, which reduced the cost per month but obliges you to be a season ticket holder for the whole year and not just for the Serie A season.
Here's how it works:
- Monthly payment with annual obligation: For subscribers who choose the annual deferred payment option (monthly payment on an annual basis), there is a minimum commitment of 12 months. This means that the subscriber undertakes to maintain the service for at least one year.
- Single payment: those who choose to pay in a single payment will have a discounted offer, with automatic renewal at the end of the year.
- Automatic Renewal: At the end of the twelfth month, the contract is automatically renewed to the economic conditions in force at the time of renewal, unless the user decides to cancel.
- Flexible monthly payment: the flexible version is the one from which you can cancel by requesting it 30 days in advance, but the price is much higher.
Here is an overview:
- Start Plan: Previously offered at 14,99 euros per month, it now costs 11,99 euros per month with an annual commitment, essentially it is an annual payment deferred monthly.
Alternatively you can pay 99 euros per year in a single payment saving as much as €45.
For those who want to keep the option flexible, without constraints, the cost is €14,99 per month.
Attention: does not include Serie A! - Standard Plan: Previously sold at 40,99 euros per month, as seen a change to 34,99 euros per month with annual restriction,
or 359 euro per year with payment in a single solution, otherwise the flexible version costs 40,99 € per month - Plus plan: The most expensive, the cost is 49,99 per month with annual restriction
or 539 euros per year in one solution,
the flexible version remains at € 59,99 per month.
In all plans, you can cancel your subscription with 30 days notice, but caution: if you have opted for an annual restriction it is not possible to terminate the contract early.

And what about those who already subscribe to DAZN?
Dazn's price increase affects not only new subscribers but also those already signed up to the service. That's how:
- Pre-existing Annual Subscribers: Those who already had an annual subscription before the increase can continue to enjoy the old price until it expires. They will then receive a communication via email to adapt to the new price list.
- Withdrawal Option: Subscribers have the option to opt out of the service without penalties or deactivation fees, a move that Dazn has presumably taken to maintain a certain level of flexibility and goodwill among customers.

- The most complete offer, with the possibility of watching events on two devices even in different places.

- Maximum seven devices registerable.
