The tragic fate of Diana Biondi shocked all the inhabitants of Somma Vesuviana, in the province of Naples.
Diana, a 27-year-old girl, had left home on Monday 27 February with the intention of going to the Federico II University of Naples, but she never returned. Her parents tried to contact her without success, her phone was switched off.
I called her at 13,30pm but her cell phone was not reachable, shortly after she sent me a whatsapp message saying that she had to go to the library and that she would return to Somma Vesuviana with the 16 pm train from Naples

The same evening, his father Edoardo filed a complaint with the Carabinieri in the area, thus starting the search. The tragedy took place three days later: Diana Biondi sadly ended up in the ravine in front of the former restaurant "Il Canguro" following her suicide decision.
What happened and the reasons behind the terrible act
His father, on Monday evening, had reported her missing, providing information on the fact that the daughter was close to graduating in Modern Literature at the Federico II University.
After carrying out some checks, the carabinieri discovered that she missed the Latin course, which may have contributed to his tragic decision
The news shocked the inhabitants of Somma Vesuviana and many expressed their grief and support for the Biondi family.
