As every year, the temporary traffic device that restricts access to cars and scooters to the pedestrian area in the area of Gaiola in Naples.
As we know, it is one of the most popular seaside destinations in the city and every summer a telematic gate which limits the access of cars to the pedestrian area of the Gaiola descent.
It has been active since 1 July 2022. Here it is in detail.
The transit ban and who can access
The gate includes:
- the ban on vehicular transit in the “Gaiola” Pedestrian Area;
- the following direct vehicles can access off-street parking spaces:
- vehicles of residents and domiciled persons;
- those of non-residents, holders of off-street parking spaces
- the means of the employees of the Marine Protected Area of the Submerged Park of Gaiola
- vehicles of law enforcement, emergency and rescue forces;
- cars that transport disabled people with significantly reduced walking capacity with a special card and only to allow the disabled person to get on and off. We remind you that in these cases authorization must be requested in advance using the module "H";
- vehicles of companies and public service companies only for activities to be carried out in the pedestrian area;
- vehicles for the transport of goods for internal services in the Pedestrian Area from 10.00 to 12.00 for a maximum of 30 minutes;
- vehicles for non-scheduled public transport, i.e. taxis, NCC only for picking up and accompanying users
How to request the badge to access the area
For all the categories indicated that can access the Pedestrian Area, a mark to be authorized. To obtain it, the forms indicated in the specific page of the Municipality of Naples, following all the indications provided.
