The shop in via Toledo will have to suffer the decision of the multinational, causing the loss of his job 22 employees and the same thing has already happened for the Disney Store of Marcianise, in the Campania Shopping Center, where 13 employees worked until the end of September.
Just at 17.00, the employees of via Toledo will greet customers in the store where they worked for years, only to leave it forever.
The closure in Naples in favor of e-commerce
The store in the center of Naples has always seen the attendance of many customers loyal to the brand and the place recorded up to 600 thousand entries every year. Inside it has always been possible to find characters, clothes, objects, games, accessories and much more related to thehuge Disney world, also creating important human relationships with children, but not only, who frequented the shop with so much joy.
The multinational has now decided to encourage e-commerce due to the pandemic and the resulting crisis. During the summer, the employees had also demonstrated in front of the store and had hoped to be protected, but unfortunately this did not happen.
Disney's decision in Italy
Disney stores that 15 will be decommissioned throughout Italy for a total of 230 employees. The decision to switch to e-commerce affects the whole country and the company has decided to focus on online sales to follow one better economic strategy.
A very hard blow for workers, especially in this pandemic period in which every sector has been hit and employees will have to deal with the crisis even more.
