Documents, books and vintage photos await all Neapolitans at the most beautiful libraries in the city!
Sunday 11 October 2015, libraries throughout Italy will open exceptionally to the public on the occasion of the "Paper Sunday".
The event, organized by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, will make the precious available to citizens and tourists historical paper heritage kept in libraries and state archives.

Also Napoli will join the initiative by opening the National Library, the Oratoriana dei Girolamini State Library and the University Library to all visitors.
Specifically, at the National Library it will be possible to admire the museum rooms, the vintage books and the precious autographs; while the Biblioteca dei Girolamini will be open extraordinarily from 10:00 to 14:00 and will make available to the public the beautiful historical rooms and the precious paper heritage contained in them.
Last but not least at the Neapolitan University Library there will be the exhibition "We and the Great War" which will bring to light illustrations of newspapers, iconographies and historical photographs.
