Extraordinary appointment with Paper Sunday in Naples: special opening of state libraries and archives is scheduled!
The extraordinary appointment with the exhibition is renewed Sunday of Paper which will take place on 11 October 2020 and which will provide for the special opening of state libraries and archives throughout Italy.
Several cities in Campania adhere to the initiative by offering free admissions to archives and libraries, including: Naples, Caserta, Avellino and Mercogliano.

National Library of Naples
In the National Library of Napoli you can admire some of Giacomo Leopardi's autographs and The sunset of the moon written by the poet before he died in 1836. And then again Leopardi's food menu for the chef of Villa Ferrigni, the moving letters he wrote to his father and mother. The National Library can be visited from hours 10: 00 14 at: 00, admission is free but there reservation is required at the following link.
State Archives of Naples
Thanks to the special opening of theState Archives of Naples you can admire and learn about some of the most significant documents among those preserved at the headquarters of the former Monastery of Santi Severino e Sossio.
