Women and Technology at the Centro Direzionale di Napoli with GDG Campania

At the Centro Direzionale, a meeting with the realities of our territory involved in innovation and technology, to promote the role of women in these fields

Il 15 April 2015, at the Centro Direzionale di Napoli, at the Re.Work headquarters, a meeting of Women Techmakers, the project advanced by Google to promote gender diversity in the workplace. These are events included in a broader program for women who want to foster their role, especially in the technological field.

In Italy there are only two meetings currently organized, one in Puglia and one in Campania, precisely in Naples. In general, lectures and presentations are held in which we talk about new media, social network, interactions with institutions, new technologies, projects, all always oriented towards gender diversity.

The appointment at the Re.Work headquarters was organized by GDG Campania (Google Developers Group), the most active official community of Google in our region that includes developers, companies, students working with Google technologies. During the day you will talk about the most important realities of our territory engaged in technological development and innovative entrepreneurship and will be treated various themes dedicated to robotics, virtual reality, Android and much more.

Women Techmakers Program

• Co-working: sharing spaces and knowledge to re-work
  Greetings by Alessandra Clemente, councilor with responsibility for youth and youth policies, creativity and innovation in the municipality of Naples.
• Open Makers - Arduino and 3D printing. The new frontiers of homemade robotics
  Discovering 3D printing from the three-dimensional model to the ready-to-use object: principles, settings and extrusion materials. A printed robotic hand will be presented, controlled via Arduino by a wearable glove.
• Smart Cricket and Android at the service of art
  The “Talking Works Show” (OPS) project, concerning sensors, and Smart Cricket, the content management platform and the mobile App, make museum visits a dynamic and growing experience.
• Tech Coffee - Virtual Revolution: from science fiction to reality. Oculus, Sony and Valve solutions
  2015 will be the year of Virtual Reality. The history of this fantastic technology will be traced to the innovative solutions of Oculus, Sony and Valve.

• The Google Cardboard viewer. Tactile sensors on Raspberry Pi
  Special effects in augmented reality.
• Napolike.com Project
  Napolike.com will be presented, our web promotion magazine of the city, which informs readers about events, news, shows, traffic, with advice on where to find the best clubs, trivia and info on traffic. An ever-growing publishing project.
