“Scio 'Scio' femmeniell, bingo and tammorre” at the former Asilo Filangieri in Naples is a free event with music and games!
Sunday January 15 2017 at the former Asilo Filangieri in Naples, will go on stage Scio 'Scio' femmeniell bingo and tammorre, a show born in 2009 from the idea of Luigi Di Cristo, president of AFAN (Associazione Femmenell Antiche Napoletane).
The show, of the duration of two hours, will be articulated in two-stroke. The first part will be curated by the Neapolitan-Balkan music group 'O Rom which will merge with the paranza of Marcello Colasurdo and the theatrical interventions of Ciro Cascina, a well-known figure of the movement for the freedom of diversity in Italy. In the second part the game of the tombola, whose numbers will be extracted and interpreted ironically by the femmeniello Bruno Buoninconti and to cheer everything there will be of jacketed musical interventions by Nicola Vito.
The goal of this appointment is to recover the historical memory on the character of the femmeniello and everything that surrounds it. For seven editions, this historical figure is remembered every year through stories, stories and archived materials: for example we remember “a 'Millecinque” who lived in the sixties in Torre Annunziata, or “Russulella”, who lived around the same time.
This edition will be dedicated to the femmeniello Gioacchino Moscariello, born in the historic center of Pagano. Of this character we know that he was a tailor by profession, but was appreciated above all for his skills as a cook. Everyone was attracted by her beauty and sympathy, women and men, young and old. Of him we remember the great devotion to the Madonna del Carmine to which he dedicated a song to the rhythm of tammorre that is still used by the Pagans.
