In fact, since the second post-war period, among the many Italians who emigrated to Germany to seek their fortune, there were also the Viscianese who, once transferred across the Alps, did not forget their village of origin, where they punctually returned "pa fest da madonn ”, On the occasion of the celebrations in honor of Maria SS Consolatrice del Carpinello, venerated in Visciano in the month of July.
An event that turned into a real party, because the emigrants returned with suitcases full of typical German food products but above all Bavarian beer, with whom we partyed in every house, with friends and relatives, until the morning.
Since then, in Visciano, it has been decided to organize the Bavarian party every end of July, coinciding with the Madonna del Carpinello, to pay homage to this pleasant memory of the past, transforming the occasion into a real one festival based on typical German dishes. You can enjoy porchetta, rurst wurst, leberkase, pretzel, sauerkraut, kartoffen and the real Bavarian pork knuckle! Everything will be accompanied by mugs of Paulaner beer, the best Munich beer served in mugs from 1 liter!
