A party at the Giardini dell'Orco at Lake Averno to learn about and buy the agricultural products of the Phlegraean Fields!
On January 9 2016 will host the Feast of the Flegreous Basket at the Giardini dell'Orco at Lake Averno, in Pozzuoli.
Consumers will meet producers, breeders and processors of the Slow Food Convivium of the Campi Flegrei, which they work in fertile fields of the Phlegrean area, offering gods agricultural products that respect seasonality and territoriality.
The event, whose entry is free, will teach visitors to become "aware consumers", ie able to recognize a product of quality and provenance of its territory. Furthermore, they will be able to pack a shopping basket choosing typical Phlegraean products like the ones cicerchie, the beans, i cannellini tomatoes to which seasonal vegetables and fruits must be added (cabbage, broccoli, cabbage and citrus fruit).
Those who make the first order for the 9 January will receive a tribute with a Phlegrean flavor. Subsequently, they will be able to order online by sending their shopping list to the address by slowfood_campiflegrei@alice.it.
Basket pick-ups will take place every Saturday, from 10.00 to 16.00, at Il Giardino dell'Orco.
