On the occasion of International Women's Day, which is celebrated every year on March 8, the Association Addovà - Naples & Surroundings Tour, organizes for Saturday 6 March at 10:30 a special walk through the streets of the city, which will be entitled: The women of Naples - women of letters, saints and queens.
It will be an excellent opportunity for everyone to stroll through the alleys and squares of the heart of the historic center of Naples and to learn about many curiosities, history and legends of some of the most important female figures in the history of the Neapolitan city.
The tour route
Thanks to the tour organized byAddovà cultural association, you can take part in the exciting journey through the narrow streets of Naples, to discover stories and legends concerning important women.
We will go from the Dcumans to the ancient seat of Porto, you will pass through the large large Archive, descending the Pendino di Santa Barbara, you will pass close to the Palazzo Penne and the statue of the Fontana delle Zizze.
The guide will tell you about loves, ghosts and revolutions, about brave women like Errichetta Caracciolo, Matilde Serao, of beauty icons such as Madam Fiammetta, by Lucrezia D'Alagno and many others.
