Sunday 8 May 2022 it will be celebrated Mother's Day and also to Napoli a beautiful initiative has begun that will allow us to buy a nice gift for our mothers and at the same time contribute to a collection charitable funds.
In fact, on April 30th and May 1st we will be able to buy the "Biscuit hearts"In the newsstands of the city that adhere to the initiative and the proceeds from our purchases will be donated to the Telethon foundation.
The project was born from the collaboration between the Telethon Foundation and the historic Genoese pastry shop Grondona.
The newsstands are those associated with Sinagi Cgil Napoli, affiliated SLC-CGIL Napoli.
The new packaging of the Biscuit Hearts
This year the packaging of the Biscuit Hearts is renewed, more colorful and exclusive and the biscuits can be chosen between three flavors: shortcrust pastry with butter, cocoa with chocolate drops and wholemeal flour. The biscuits are made with high quality ingredients and with original recipes.
The boxes are decorated with a colorful and cheerful rainbow, which symbolizes solidarity and hope, and they are in three different colors:
- pink for the shortbread biscuits with butter
- light blue for those with cocoa and chocolate chips
- green for biscuits with wholemeal flour)
All these beautiful colors have been chosen to give hope to all those children, and not only, who are affected by rare genetic diseases that thanks to research carried out by Telethon could be cured.
In each tin there are 3 trays with 6 biscuits for a weight of 300 grams in total.
Where to find the boxes of cookies
As mentioned, on April 30th and May 1st the boxes can be purchased:
- in newsagents of the Municipality and Metropolitan area of Naples associated with Sinagi Cgil Napoli, affiliated SLC-CGIL Napoli. There are over 100 members and they can consult on the map of Telethon;
- in addition, Telethon volunteers will be found in the main squares of the city for the sale of boxes of biscuit hearts;
- alternatively, they can also be found in the Telethon solidarity shop.
Who are Telethon and the Sinagi Cgil Nazionale
Telethon it's a'non-profit organization which in its statute provides for the support of medical-scientific research on neuromuscular pathologies and on those rare genetics, research carried out by its own structures such as Bodies, Institutes or Associations that have this purpose. Its purpose is also to raise public awareness on issues relating to rare diseases.
Il National CGIL Sinagi is the majority union of newsagents and since 2021 it has signed a protocol with the Telethon Foundation for a free collaboration to promote awareness and fundraising projects for Telethon.
