At the San Pietro a Majella Conservatory in Naples a new appointment with the Music Festival with a suggestive concert!

On June 21, 2020, the San Pietro a Majella Conservatory of Naples will participate in the new edition of the Festa della Musica , an event organized by the Mibac, with an evocative online concert.

The concert at the San Pietro a Majella Conservatory

The concert, which will take place on June 21, 2020 at 18:00 pm, will be a tribute to the famous Italian composer Saverio Mercadante on the 150th anniversary of his death.

In fact, for this very occasion, the pianist Franco Pareti will perform in the beautiful Scarlatti Hall of the Conservatory playing the ancient and precious Mercadante grand instrument.

Three pieces will be performed: the transcriptions of the cavatina “Bella, adorata, incognita” by Viscardo in Il giuramento, of the symphony from the opera I due Figaro and of the Tarantella taken from the cantata La danza augurale performed on the occasion of the wedding between Francis II and Maria Sofia of Bavaria in 1859.

How to attend the concert

The concert will not be available in person, but can only be followed online via the YouTube channel and Facebook page of the San Pietro a Majella Conservatory of Naples.
