The magical atmosphere of Torre del Real Bosco di Capodimonte Garden it turns on with the Mother's Pizza, an unmissable event for lovers of the famous Neapolitan culinary specialty. Between 17 and 19 January 2024, guests will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a unique experience, in the name of taste, tradition and music, in one of the most evocative places in Naples.

The event program: three days dedicated to pizza

The party kicks off on 17st January, day dedicated to Sant'Antonio Abate, protector of bakers and pizza makers. This choice is not random, but reflects a tradition deeply rooted in Neapolitan culture.

During the event, participants will be able to attend a conference held by Giovanni Serritelli, expert in the history of gastronomy, and participate in a laboratory exclusive with the master pizza chef Salvatore de Rinaldi. The latter will reveal the secrets of perfect dough and leavening. The program also includes a tasting of four types of pizza, each with a unique history and flavour, culminating with the typical Neapolitan dessert, the Migliaccio.

To accompany the whole day, the melody of folk music traditional, for an experience that combines taste and culture.

    • Saturday 13 January, 12.00: Guided tour of the Royal Bourbon fruit bowl. An immersive tour among citrus groves and orchards, culminating in the Purpignera Reale.

    • Saturday 13 January, 11.00: Cooking workshop to learn how to make real Neapolitan pizza. An educational and tasty experience for budding little chefs.

Where does the event take place? The Garden and Casamento Torre

Il Garden and Tower Building, located in the Real Bosco di Capodimonte, is a place rich in history and beauty. Originally used as Real Fruit Bowl of the Bourbons, this site has undergone a careful restoration process thanks to the efforts of the “Delizie Reali Scarl” company.

Today it presents itself as a lovely garden which is home to a wide variety of plants, including citrus fruits, fruit trees and vegetables. The architecture of the site is also of considerable interest, with eighteenth-century buildings and historic greenhouses that blend harmoniously with the natural landscape. In this context the Casamento Torre, the fulcrum of the event, which houses a historic oven linked to the birth of the Margherita pizza.

How much it costs and how to participate

To participate in the event at Giardino Torre, entry from is recommended Porta Miano. It is important to note that there is no transport service to reach the event location.

For better organization and to ensure a pleasant experience for all participants, it is recommended to carry out the booking in advance.
