Wonderful news for the submerged park of Gaiola, indeed it arrives GaiolEtta, i.e. the brand new Electric shuttle which was inaugurated just a few days ago.
The managing body CSI Gaiola Onlus has decided to make this service available for free for both citizens and tourists, an initiative aimed at improving the travel experience to the small Marine Protected Area during these summer months.
How is the GaiolEtta
La GaiolEtta is a shuttle of small size with comfortable seats for a capacity of 8 people. The vehicle was designed super green with electric traction, thus adhering to the Climate project of the Ministry of the Environment.
Who is the service primarily aimed at?
As specified by the managers, this service was born mainly as a social service, to help those in difficulty to walk the road that leads to Gaiola.
The shuttle, therefore, will be mainly dedicated to Older people e families with small children.
The GaiolEtta will leave from the bus station in Capo Posillipo every weekend in August according to the following times:
- 8:30-10:30
- 12:30-14:30
- 17:00-18:30
The other initiatives
In addition to that of the GaiolEtta, other initiatives have been launched which aim to improve the livability conditions of bathers and visitors.
For example, there are the marine social umbrellas. That is 10 umbrellas signed by the marine drawings of Serena Strino, which are given away free of charge to the bathers of the park every day, always paying attention to the elderly and families.
