The "joust" of rhymes, loves and knights by Stefano Accorsi and Marco Baliani is back, staged at the Teatro Nuovo in Naples with "Playing with Orlando"
Will be staged at New Theater of Naples, from 26 February to 2 March 2014, the show Playing with Orlando, freely taken from the Ariosto masterpiece and interpreted by Stefano Accorsi e Marco Baliani, who also took care of the direction.
The ironic "carousel" of the fairytale wandering of theOrlando Furioso, after the success of the 2012 del Furious Orlando, where it is still played with the rhymes of Ludovico Ariosto, imagining what the Tuscan poet could do when he represented his work in the courts. TO Marco Baliani will touch the role of the "disturber", while the supporting narrative structure will be entrusted to Stefano Accorsi.
Once again, two will be there main love stories: that of the paladin Orlando chasing the beautiful Angelica, and that between Bradamante, a Christian warrior, in love with Ruggiero, Saracen knight. Around them a kaleidoscope of characters only evoked by the narrator's rhyming lines, but which seem to come to life on the stage, amidst verbal improvisations and difficult gestures to perform.
Un "Orlando Furioso" unprecedented and extravagant, which looks like a real "joust" for the duels, loves, clashes and meetings of the knights who appear and disappear in the circle that the game imposes, whose scenic realization is entrusted to Mimmo Paladino and to his famous horses.
Lo spettacolo Playing with Orlando will be preceded, always Wednesday 26 February at 18: 00 at La Feltrinelli Music and Books in Piazza dei Martiri, from a meeting with Stefano Accorsi and Marco Baliani, which will be attended by Valeria Parrella.
