Parks and reserves open for the 2017 WWF Oasis Day in Campania and Naples!
The 21 May 2017, on the occasion of WWF 2017 Oasis Day, in Campania and in Naples some parks and reserves will remain open.
A nice initiative to discover the hidden treasures of the Campania nature, a rich heritage of biodiversity of both flora and fauna and to spend a day breathing clean air and admiring the bright colors that summer nature gives us.
The visits to the Oasis will be for free.
The Oasis in Campania
Astroni crater
The Astroni Crater is an extinct volcano in the volcanic area of the Phlegraean Fields of Naples. It is currently an important nature reserve.

Bosco San Silvestro
It is an important example of an evergreen forest in the San Leucio area (Ce). It consists mainly of holm oak and Mediterranean scrub, once a hunting reserve and farm of the Bourbons.

Persano
It is a Protection Oasis in the Foce Sele-Tanagro Regional Nature Reserve which is home to the otter, the rarest terrestrial mammal in Italy.
