In Naples and its province, the FAI Spring Days 2015 will postpone a weekend due to the Pope's visit
The manifestation of the FAI 2015 Days (Italian Environmental Fund) in spring will also take place in Naples and its province. The appointment in Italy is for 21-22 March, but the events will take place in Naples on And March 28 29 2015 then the previous weekend coincides with the Pope's visit to the city.
The initiative is organized under the High Patronage of the Presidency of the Italian Republic, with the patronage of the European Commission, the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, the Ministry of Education, University and Research and with the collaboration of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
The Fai has always been committed to protect, respect and enhance the beautiful natural landscape and the vast artistic heritage of Italy. For this reason, it constantly deals with the restoration of abandoned cultural assets and safeguarding the landscape at risk of pollution, threatened by the destructive activity of man. The Fai operators, almost all volunteers, they work firmly believing that investing in culture is a precious resource, a way to save our historical past and our national identity, but also to produce jobs and promote tourism.
In these two intense days we will be able to visit cultural heritage, archaeological sites, learn about hidden treasures and take walks in the nature trails of Naples and the province, usually not offered to the public. In addition to guided tours there will be special events in the Fai assets and entrance fees reserved for members.
