The Archaeological Route of the Rione Terra di Pozzuoli reopens to the public: you can return to visit the Roman city!
Starting from Saturday 1 May 2021 finally also the Archaeological Path of the Rione Terra di Pozzuoli will reopen to visitors after the period of closure and blockade due to Covid 19.
The visit to the archaeological route under the tuff rock of the Rione Terra di Pozzuoli will lead the visitor into a fascinating journey over time in the ancient Roman city, Puteoli which was founded in 194 BC and which soon became the commercial port of Rome.
The path winds along the various buildings, grain stores, the oven for baking bread with millstones, shops and much more. To make everything even more engaging and suggestive there will be multimedia installations who will tell you about all the activities that took place in the ancient city.
Visits to the archaeological itinerary of the Rione Terra
Guided tours of the archaeological itinerary of the Rione Terra di Pozzuoli will take place on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 09: 00 at 16: 30.
To participate will be booking required by calling the number indicated in the information mirror or online on the site. Admission is free on the first Sunday of the month.
During the visits, all the general anti-Covid rules 19: mandatory mask, social distancing and frequent hand sanitation.
